Ramakrishna Math, Coochbehar (formerly Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama at New Town) was recognized as a branch center of Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math on 19th December 2003. Guided by the ideals of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, it conducts diverse service activities to meet various human needs—education, health, rural development, self-employment, women’s welfare, moral and spiritual guidance, and relief work.
Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s motto, “Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya Cha” (For one’s own salvation and the welfare of the world), the Math strives to serve humanity as service to God. It organizes numerous philanthropic and humanitarian services—religious activities, student education, free coaching, vocational training, charitable dispensaries, and more.
Your generous donations help sustain these vital efforts and expand the scope of service to more people in need.
Ramakrishna Math, Coochbehar welcomes all who wish to serve the community. By donating, volunteering, or sharing our mission with others, you can help us offer education, relief, and spiritual guidance to those in need.
Ramakrishna Math, Coochbehar serves with the motto “Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya Cha”, following Sri Ramakrishna’s ideals. Daily worship of the Holy Trio, regular discourses, spiritual retreats, and observance of important festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja, and National Youth Day are integral parts of our spiritual life.
We also have a public library, a bookstore of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature, and a weekly study circle for youth. These activities aim to build moral and spiritual values in society.
Donations support our wide range of humanitarian, educational, and spiritual activities:
Every contribution, large or small, enables us to serve humanity—truly “service to God” in action.
