Like the previous years, this year also Sri Sri Durga Puja was held at the Ashrama with piousness and utmost devotion. A large number of devotees gathered to attend Sri Sri Kumari Puja and Sandhi Puja and to offer their floral offering to Devi Durga. More than ten thousand devotees and visitors took prasad this year.
The idol of the goddess was immersed in the Torsa which runs by the side of our Math. Sri Ramakrishna asked, “Can worship be done only in the idols, not in the living beings?” To uphold the tradition of the ancient Hindu scriptures and Sri Ramakrishna’s message, the Kumari Puja is performed in each centre of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
